Look what I did!

Coby has been growing out a full-on beard and mustache this past week (against my wishes), and today after spending what seemed like an eternity in the bathroom, look who emerged! It is my own gross cowboy rapist of a husband! I told him to shave it off right then, but apparently this will be an all day event, because he then informed me that next he plans on shaving it to just a mustache and then a skinny mustache after that, before finally (hopefully) shaving it off! (He even took this pic of himself and then set it as my desktop backtrop to insure that I won't get this picture out of my head!) He is very proud of his accomplishment and made me promise to blog about this...BUT don't worry all you Ogden-ites, he WILL be shaving before we head out there! What a nerd my little hubby is, good thing I love him!

Mae's 1st First Christmas

This past Friday and Saturday we celebrated Christmas here with Coby's family, since we will be Ogden this year on Christmas--and let me tell you, Mae had a GREAT 1st first Christmas. The Coonradt's do Christmas in a BIG way- heck that's part of the reason I joined this family!!!

Kenna and Mae reading their books they won in BINGO!

Another BINGO prize for Mae...I think she likes it, don't you?

I know it should be against blogging rules to post a pic this bad of me (hey, it was EARLY, okay?) but just look how cute Mae looks!

We wondered how Mae would do with presents and figured she probably wouldn't care too much, but she was a trooper and went to town on those presents!

At the end of the day this was all Mae had to show for it...SHE MADE A KILLING!!! All of this (minus about three little things from us) were from her Nana and Papa Coonradt (AKA Santa)! Thanks so much for such a WONDERFUL Christmas for our own little Christmas Angel!

Christmas is a rough gig...She crashed, and she crashed hard, after all the extreme present opening!

And since I didn't get Christmas cards out this year (again)... You can just consider this your Christmas card, you lucky readers out there (so just pretend we are dressed and ready, and that Mae is looking at the camera). We hope you have as AWESOME a Christmas we did & we LOVE you all!

JodiAnn is gettin' HITCHED!!!

So last Friday all us girls got together to celebrate our dear friend Jodi's upcoming wedding and give her lots of presents!

Jodi is gets really excited about dishes! Yay!

All those in attendance, minus the little ones chasing Tikers around!

The sexy bride and the Ho!

Aren't my friends so cute?!!!

Ditto...

Ditto, ditto....

So apparently the newest fad happens to be tu-tu's for little girls and my dear friend Jme being the crafty little thing she is brought the supplies for all of us to make our own little tu-tu's for our girls. Lindsay captured my very FIRST piece of the tu-tu. I look pretty pleased with my talent, huh? By the way, I took the plunge, cute & dyed my hair--what do you think ? At first I truly felt a little on the gothic side, but now that I'm getting more used to it, I think it is growing on me! Plus the haircut has been a big success, Mae has not pulled one little hair out of my head...I may not end up bald after all! Good thing, cuz I have a very funny shaped head!

Me modeling the finished masterpiece...I was being a lion and the tu-tu was my mane, don't make fun of me!

The blushing bride sporting our makeshift wedding attire!
Friends!

I LOVE MY FRIENDS! We are the coolest people I know!

Crazy 8's!!!

K so JME tagged yours truly and I thought I participate just because I like her! Here goes...
8 Favorite Shows: K so we have truly become couch potatoes thanks to DVR... Probably my favorite show right now would have to BONES, or "boner" as naughty Coby calls it)-- I look forward to Wednesdays now just for that reason (sad, but true), Dirty Sexy Money (that's right I said "sexy"), The Office, Chuck, Fringe (never been really into sci-fi things, but this has peaked my interest), King of Queens (Kevin James is always funny), all the JAZZ games, oh and I can always enjoy a little AMERICA'S FUNNIEST VIDEOS!!! Thank goodness for DVR-- without it I would have to do something productive!!!
8 Favorite Movies: #1 would HAVE to be TWILIGHT...ha, ha j/k! Not really... Seriously though, Frequency would have to be right up towards the top (Coby makes fun of me for that...I'm not rAdd Videoeally sure why), Runaway Bride (It better be one of my favorites after paying TWICE to see that because the first time, we blew off going to the movie so we could cruise the 'vard instead...nice plan!), 50 First Dates, The Burbs, Money Pit (Tom Hanks is so gifted!), The Upside of Anger (I truly LOVE Kevin Costner), Pride and Prejudice-the Original (thanks to Wendee for introducing me to this!) and the Ewok Adventure from my childhood (and contrary to what you may think, that is not me in the movie, I used to think I looked just like that little girl...that's probably why I LOVED it sooo much! I even had the boardgame...I was sooo cool!)
8 Favorite Restaurants: Royal Dragon in Roy (sad, I can't eat there anymore), McGRATH's (mmmm....), Taco Bell (seriously), Javier's, Maple Gardens (can't eat there anymore either...dang it!), Panda Express (not there either), Greek Garden and Olive Garden (no more breadsticks for me though:( I have a very "HEALTHY" appetite!
8 Things that happened yesterday: Let's see if I can remember... Bathed and did not wash my hair--even though it was begging for it, bought shampoo so I could wash my hair and not gross Coby out anymore, spilled Mae's peas baby food on the couch (yay for me), cleaned up Mae's peas baby food, went to the gym (bonus points for me), watched Coby's basketball game and tried to make a friend there with another player's wife (not sure if that friendship will stick).
8 Things I'm looking forward to: Christmas with Mae, Club at Maddox with my friends(!), Mae learning to crawl, Mae learning to say Momma and really mean it, family pictures (maybe with Lindsay?!!!), New Year's (I've always LOVED New Years, even though I never really do anything) going on our cruise in February AND finishing the 4th and final book of the Twilight series (I really can't wait for this phenomenon to be finished...I'm spent),
8 Things on your wish list: A new house at some point with more room for all of our USELESS crap that we can't seem to get rid of, wishing it was closer to CRUISING time, wishing my friends would all move to Vernal (hint, hint), wishing I didn't have this big zit on my chin, wishing I had a lot of money to blow on stuff I don't need (but still want), wishing I could eat Chinese food after all that talk about it, wishing Mae's baby legs from her grandma were here so I could take some pictures and wishing I was done with this tag that is taking me FOREVER!!!
8 Things I love about winter: I don't love winter, don't even really like it.... but I do like staying home when its cold outside all bundled up in blankets, like watching the Jazz play and they play during winter, like having snow for Christmas (and Christmas only), like winter clothes, like how quiet it feels sometimes after it snows, like how good a bubble bath feels after you've been outside in the FRIGID COLD here in Vernal, like sledding (but haven't done it in awhile) especially when we pack bike ramps with snow, double up on one sled and come crashing down (remember J?) and I LOVE when winter leaves and the first day of SUN comes out!
8 People I tag: Jack, Jen, Debs, Kellie, Erin, Ash, Marissa and little Miss soon-to-be Momma, Wendee!

Thanks to all for taking the time to read what has taken me HOURS to do (k not really hours, but it felt like it)!!!

Thanksgiving 2008

I know this is a little late, but I decided to finally post a pic of Mae Mae's first Thanksgiving. This year we went to Coby's Grandma Angie's beautiful new house and had such a good time!!! She is soooo sweet and even made me gluten-free stuffing...it was SOOOOO good! It was so fun to have Mae here for Thanksgiving!

TWILIGHT-update!

For all those waiting with baited breath, I just thought I'd update you on the whole TWILIGHT phenomenon... I finished the second book...and it SUCKED!!! The first one was okay and if not for that one, I would end the reading now, but I figure I'm in this too far deep now to stop...Here's hoping the third revives some kind of interest for me...

Decisions, decisions...

Hair woes....

So being the "decision-challenged" person that I am, I am reaching out to all you bloggers out there for some advice. Coby is no help-- he just says "do whatever you want." So here's my dilemma: I am in need of a new hair-do'! I have really liked my current do', but having a six month old who is constantly pulling day in and day out at my hair is getting a little old and I am truly saddened by the couple bald spots (seriously) where she has very innocently ripped my hair out...not fun let me tell you! So this is where you come in...These pics (see above) are kinda what I am leaning towards and I am HOPING you can all give me your input on if you think that would work for my EXTREMELY "heart" shaped face... I say "heart-shaped" out of love for myself when really I should say CHUBBY cheeked shaped-face. Do you think this will emphasize my already gargantuous cheekers... and that is exactly what I DO NOT want?!!! So ponder this over if you have the time and get back to me with a verdict! Any help would be appreciated! I'm still working on the color, so as of right now, its just the cut that I'm debating! Oh, and if you have any other ideas (cuts and/or colors), those would be WELCOMED!!! It is very sad that I need this much help....I'm sorry.

Go UTES!

On Saturday the fam had our own little BYU vs U of U showdown! Being the U fans that we are, we are pleased to announce that our Utes delivered! Yay for football!

My cute mom and step-dad Frank-O!
Grandma and grandpa (how cute is this) sporting BOTH colors because they couldn't choose between the two for our BYU cousins sakes!

Grandpa Frankie and his youngest UTE!

Mae looks like she's ready to play football herself...grrrr!

TWILIGHT!!! Oh Edward....

So my good old friends got tickets for "TWILIGHT" on Friday night while I was there, and while I had still been refusing to read the book, how could I turn down a night with the girls, Jme, Linz, Camille and Capri?!!! So, I ventured off to see it and guess what..... I didn't hate it! After watching it and having Jme explain a few things in the movie, it made me curious.... and I caved! I read the first book and here's my verdict on the whole TWILIGHT obcession.... It was okay. It was not life altering and did not change my world as I know it, but after reading the first I want to keep reading them....although I am still NOT IN LOVE WITH EDWARD! (gasp...from all you "Edward Lovers" out there!) Coby has been horrible about the whole thing...I know one day I will find him wearing fangs or something! But I will give it credit...there was one HOT scene! Ooh la, la! All of you who have seen the movie I'm sure will know what I'm talking about!

Thanks to the lady behind us for snapping a pic and catching me in the act!

CLUB....YAY!!!

So this last weekend we were heading out to O-Town and on a whim I decided to kidnap Mae from her Da-Da and head out early...and made it just in time for CLUB!!! I was finally able to go after seeing all the posts from previous months clubs reminding me that I miss my friends. Thanks to our crafty little El-say, we made cute little snowmen (okay, so really El mostly made them for us...but I'm still going to take the credit!) and I truly had a WONDERFUL time with the girls!

Mae got to come to CLUB too and just look how happy she was about it!
The finished product...mine is the one on the end with the extremely long scarf (I trimmed it later...don't worry)

Showing off our creations (and a little leg from Mae)!

Poor Mae, what are we doing to you?!!! So what if we are the only ones who pose with wreaths... we are cool!

Mae, Me, Linz and Michelle

Mae and her "Aunt" Linny

"WORKING" on our snowmen! Where is Lindsay you ask...doing the real work for us! THANKS EL-SAY!!! My snowman woudn't have been near as cute without your expertise!
Club was so fun and I was SOOOO glad to be a part of it!

6 MONTHS OLD!!!

So on November 13th (yes, I'm just posting this now...) our little Mae turned 6 MONTHS OLD!!! I truly cannot believe how fast time has gone by. She is sooo much fun and I cannot remember our lives without her. She was 14 lbs 6 oz. and 25 &3/4 in. long when we went to her doctors appt. More shots....it was very sad, but she made it through! She is now sitting up on her own, rolling over ONLY when SHE wants to, blowing LOTS of raspberries (hence a LOT of slobber) and should be crawling any day now! Here are some recent shots of our girl.

She is thinking very hard....hmmmm....

We LOVE you Mae-Mae!!!

Go THUNDERCATS!!!

For those of you who didn't know (so that is most likely everyone) Coby plays in a rec center basketball league and his team is the Thundercats. Me & Mae being their main supporters were lucky enough to get our own shirts to wear to the games to show the love! Mae loves to watch them run up and down the court. Here's a pic of the #26 family! (Just in case you're wondering #26 is Kyle Korver's number, which Coby chose, so I am not the only one who loves him...)

All Hallows Eve

On Halloween we decked Mae out in her little bag'o'bones constume and ventured out to our wards Truck or Treat, Coby's parents ward and then to his Grandma Angie's house. As you can see Mae was a little unsure about the whole thing. The first truck or treat was was in awe of all the kids running around dressed in their costumes, but by the second one, she was done until she pooped through her costume at Gma Angie's and felt much better at that point. Oh, and bytheway, I was right... A lot of people who didn't know us, took one look at the BEAUTIFUL littel girl donning a HUGE bright green bow and asked about our little "boy"...I could've smacked them!

Me & Coby couldn't let Mae have all the fun! We got our own skeleton shirts to we could be the scariest skeleton family!
Halloween was so much fun this year with our little Mae! I can't wait until next year!

Ooohhh Scary...It's Halloween!!!

So yesterday we had our own little photo shoot with Mae and Kenna (Mae's cousin, Coby's sis' little girl) in their Halloween outfits. Kenna likes to "pose" (just ask her yourself), but Mae was little unsure about the whole thing! Kenna was a fairy, and for Mae we went with a skeleton. My goldfish idea was vetoed by someone (who will remain nameless), so I had to find a bow so everyone will know she is a she-skeleton...although I'm sure some smart person will see the bow and ask about our little "boy." Oh well, I still think she is the cutest bag of bones on the planet! By the way, the scenary in the pics, yeah that would be our unkempt yard. Looks good in the pics right?...not so much in real life...:(

Kenna "posed" this one herself!

Contrary to what Kenna may tell you, no she did not fall out of the tree

Mom & Dad what are you doing to me?!!!
I love this one of Mae! She looks so posh- doesn't she? She is one HOT BABE!

COUSINS!!!
