Regis & Kelly Baby Contest

I entered this beautiful girl in the Regis and Kelly baby contest. I would've entered both my cuties, but Lu was too young, so look out 2011. Just thought I'd share the picture we chose and give you all a heads up--be watching for us on TV cuz WE ARE GONNA WIN!!!

(How could we not???)

Holy Blue Eyes!!!

When Lu was born her eyes were so dark we wondered if they would be blue like Mae's and Coby's. When they darkened even further and turned into almost a turquiose, I thought for sure this one would have her momma's green eyes...boy was I WRONG!!! I think this is about as BLUE as it gets folks--and aren't those eyes BEAUTIFUL??? So much for one resemblance to her mother...
And just take a look at those lashes!

DISCLAIMER: These photos have not been edited at all as they need no enhancing. Her eyes just really are this amazing,

Too precious...

I'm so grateful my girls have each other for sisters...I have two friends (hello Erin and Kellie) who are sisters and are about the same distance apart as Mae and Lu. Spending time with them always made me think of how lucky (yes, that's right you two, I said lucky) they were to have each other and be that close in age so that they were able to have such a close relationship. I hope my girls can do the same...
This is a picture of Mae looking at her baby sister--I think it says it all and I don't think there is ANYTHING sweeter! Seriously, doesn't it just make you wanna cry?

Lu Photoshoot

Seriously, could she get any cuter???

Mae the Yoga Master

I'm thinking about taking Mae with me to my yoga class--she can do the poses better than me--and Shauna, she may just have you beat, too! What do you think, Yoga Guru in her future? Either way, she is one CRAZY (and entertaining) girl!

...and CRASH!!! (At least I haven't done that in yoga--yet!)

Things We Like Lately...

Coloring...she takes it very seriously

Cereal--and her Dadda

Bubble baths

Jumper chair

Yep, baby sis' jumper chair
Funny faces

Our toes...and again, her Dadda

Jewelry or "necks" as Mae likes to call them

Our babies

And most importantly--SISTERS!!!

Sub-Zero Temperatures!

So basically we live in the Arctic... Good thing for warm hats! (Thanks Ho!)

Nap Time with Papa Dave

This is how we found them...too cute! Good thing she's a deep sleeper!

Bengals vs Jets

A few weeks ago, the Cinci Bengals (Coby's team) battled with the NY Jets (Papa Dave's team). This was quite the occasion and so of course, we had to make our loyalties known!
Our little Cee, the CUTEST Bengal by far!

Unfortunately, the get-up didn't prove to bring good luck to the Bengals...how tragic!

Pretty Girl

Need I say more?

Tea Party with "Friends"

Like I mentioned before, for Christmas from Great Grandpa and Grandma Peterson, the girls got a table and chair set and Mae LOVE, LOVE, LOVES it! We can hardly get her out of her room anymore because she just wants to play with it all day. The other day, she put her "Friends" (that's what she calls them), the moose, the pig and the dog, on chairs and had a tea party with them.
Just have to point out, her little crossed feet under the table.

Mae LOVES corn--real and pretend.

Feeding her friends...

What a fun girl!

The Princess and the Frog

On January 2nd, me, Mae, Kenna, Ash and Nana Pam all went to see "The Princess and the Frog." This was Mae's first experience at the movie theatre and I didn't really know how she would do. When we got there, we got Mae her own little cup of popcorn (which she LOVED) and I snuck in some juice for her. When the movie started, she was enthralled watching it on the big screen with all the people around! The show was pretty cute with a lot of singing and dancing, and Mae was dancing along with it, clapping and laughing! Every once in a while she would reach into her popcorn cup, never taking her eyes of the screen--it was sooooo cute! After about 45 minutes, Mae decided she had had a GREAT time, but was now done and wanted to go "HOME!" (And yes, she was yelling that in the crowded theatre!) After a couple ins and outs, (I'm sure the people on the sides of the row loved us) we decided it was time to go. Although, we didn't get to see the whole movie, we had a fun time and Mae thoroughly LOVED it while we were there! Days later she was still talking about it. Even now at random times she will look at us and say "Frog. Princess. Home." Now, we just gotta wait til the movie comes out on video to see what happened in the rest of it!

2009

2009 was very good to us! We had many things to celebrate, some of the highlights being Mae's 1st birthday and the birth of our sweet Lucy. We feel truly grateful for the many blessings we have, most importantly each other. Mae expressed it so perfectly one morning a while ago. We were all lying in me and Cobes' bed (our morning ritual), Mae drinking her milk and cuddling with her dadda and me feeding and snuggling miss Lucy, when Mae looked around and in her sweet little voice said, "Happy Family." We could ask for no greater blessing than a continuation of that in 2010!

Lucy at 4 Months!

On December 30th, Lucy had her 4 month check-up and HOLY COW-- has it really been FOUR whole months?!!! I guess time really does fly when you are having fun (and running like CRAZY)! She is changing and growing every day and just sooooo special (I guess every parent thinks that about their kids, but in her case, she REALLY is)! She brings such joy into our home with her sweet smiles!
Everything at the doctor looked great--she is healthy and happy--which is the greatest news any mother can hear. She weighed 11lbs 10oz and was 23&1/2in long. For her weight she was in the 12%, which is a little small, but the doc said she will probably be a little petite, just like her big sis!

You can't help but be happy when you see that smile!

My two girls--they already love each other sooooo much---and I love them even more for that (if that's possible)!

Sledding!

While I was busy at lunch with the girls, Mae was busy sledding for her first time with Grandma, "Pa" Frank, Jeff, Ash and Ben! Ash was good enough to document the occasion for me!
Mae (in her improvised snow suit) and Ben getting ready to brave the elements.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pic! Wwweeeeee!!!
