Craziness

So it has been awhile since I've posted anything, but in my defense I have TWO totally crazy (and totally sweet) children that keep us on the go 24/7 AND factor in all the craziness Christmas brings, and there you go-no posts...Anyways, I thought I should post a little update on life and the girls before Christmas gets here.

Mae has become totally obsessed with everything Christmas. She LOVE, LOVE, LOVES "The Santa Clause" and we have to watch it EVERY morning while she has her breakfast (she'd watch it all day if I'd let her). She knows that "Santa" is going to come see her and bring her "presents" when he comes down the "chimney" saying "Ho, Ho" (she can't quite get the third "Ho" down). The other day we asked her what she wanted from Santa and she said "Pony" and "Milk"--neither of which I'm afraid he will be bringing (I had no idea the whole "pony" thing starts to early)! I am fascinated at all that she is learning. She is sooooo smart, talks constantly and is totally entertaining! Here she is as our own version of "Santa Baby!"

Lucy is getting sooooo big and is just the sweetest thing! She smiles CONSTANTLY at us--and there is NOTHING cuter! She has been trying for awhile to find her thumb and two days ago--SUCCESS! Maybe I should try and break it early, but honestly, how can you argue with this??? It is WAY TOO SWEET!

When I was pregnant with Lucy I worried that I wouldn't be able to love her as much as I love Mae, but now that she is here, it seems everyday I become more amazed at my heart's capacity to love--and I am grateful for that!

All Hallows Eve

FINALLY...So you know how this blogger upload goes and I am just now getting pics up from Halloween! We had MANY different costume ideas for the girls, but with Mae and her obscession with "HOCUS POCUS" and witches, we finally decided on a witch for Mae and a black cat for Lucy. On Halloween we went to our rec center where they had a carnival type thing with a little path for tricker treaters and then we went to our ward's Trunk Or Treat, which they do down a street where a lot of our ward members live, so the kids get a little bit of actual trick or treating feel, but the cars of other ward members can park along the curb, too so it is a really good idea! The Fam dressed as: Coby as a Benglas fan (real creative), me as Deron Williams---our's were makeshift costumes if you can't tell, Mae as a witch and Lucy as a black cat.

This is Mae doing her witch cackle...don't worry, her dad doesn't think she is funny at all!

Don't ask me what's she doing here, but whatever it is--it is CUTE!

Let's just all say what we are thinking...she IS the cutest witch in the world!

...and Lucy's gotta be the CUTEST cat, sorry mom--she even beats Abby!

Just in case you're wondering, Nope, I did not make this costume--thank you Ebay!

You have NEVER gone Trick or Treating, til you've gone with a 1 year old!

The carnival was not so exciting for Lucy...

BUT it was for Coby!

At the end of the night, Mae finally got to eat a piece of CANDY!!!

...and Lucy went back to sleep!
We had a great time with our girls this Halloween! Next year will probably be even CRAZIER with TWO of them running around---and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Witches Night Out!

The night before Halloween, Vernal decided to throw their first annual "Witches Night Out"--Yes, they copied Gardner's Village and No, it was not that cool..., but with Mae LOVING witches like she has, we decided to get her dolled up in her hat and venture over to see what the fuss was all about. There really wasn't much to do besides drawings and all the witches were dancing around, but we still had a good time with our Mae-Mae! This is her realizing there were WITCHES there...that is the face she makes when she says "witch", although I really can't describe what it sounds like when she says it.

We are SOOOOOO excited for the witches--just look at our faces, you can tell...

Mae with all the grown up witches...and Nana. She really wasn't so sure about them when she was actually surrounded by them, or it might have been the picture. She does not do so well with group pictures for some reason...

I'm happy to be with my little witch, whether or not it was pretty lame!

Mae the "Witchy-Poo!"
And don't you worry, Lucy was not left out, but she did sleep the whole time all bundled up--that's right no witch hat for her just yet!
Oh, and P.S., Mae BAWLED when we decided to bail on the witches!

1st Snow! and randoms

A few weeks ago, we woke up to it snowing. Mae was fascinated watching it out the window, so when Baby Sister went down for a nap, me and Mae went out to play.

At first she wasn't so sure it about, but it grew on her pretty quick!

Trying to catch the snow

And now she is LOVING it!

And here are some randoms from that same day...

This orphan child with the bangs in her face is showing you her "new funny face!"

And here is that same child, don't worry, just picking her nose...real lady-like! She NEVER does that, but with the camera out that day, it was in full force.

Lucy's Blessing

Last Saturday on kinda a whim we decided to bless Lucy Rae. My family was coming down anyway to go meet us at a cabin in Flaming Gorge, and with the Swine Flu here in full swing and RSV on its way, we decided not to risk taking the girls out, and did it at our home. It was such a special day for our family! Lucy has been such a blessing in our lives. I think every day how grateful I am for ultrasounds and modern medicine because without it, she wouldn't be here. I know it is because of all the many prayers that were said for this girl that I was able to make it to 38 weeks safely, that she is here and perfect and that I'm able to be here and be her and Mae's mom. Mae still is sooooo excited to have "Cee" as a baby sister-- you'd think the thrill would wear off, but not yet--I think she was waiting for her! I couldn't ask for a more WONDERFUL family! Coby gave Lucy SUCH a sweet blessing---he loves his girls SOOOOO much! She is lucky to have a dad like him who is worthy to hold the priesthood and bless our home with its power! Here are some pics of our beatiful blondie on this special day! Mae was running around like a maniac (imagine that), so I didn't get any good pics of her.

Lucy and his uncle Josh--he loves his nieces

We are so blessed to have such supportive family members who were able to make this such a neat day for Lucy and us!

El Cinco Anniversary!

On October 16th me and Cobes celebrated our 5th (yes count em, 1-2-3-4&5) anniversary! A few weeks before, Coby surprised me by booking us a hotel in Grand Junction, CO for the weekend of our anniversary! Although, I was a little nervous to leave Lucy since she is so little, Coby's parents were great enough to watch the girls so we could enjoy our weekend! After being cooped up summer on bedrest, a stressful pregnancy getting Miss Lucy here safe and sound and a lot of sleepless nights once she got here, it was a much needed rest for us! We went to a couple movies, went mini-golfing and ATE, ATE, ATE & SLEPT, SLEPT, SLEPT!!! It was so great to have a little R&R time with Coby. I have always been so grateful to have a husband like Coby, but recently I have had such a strong affirmation of how TRULY blessed I am to have him as my best friend, husband and father to my children! I don't know many guys who would be able to do what Coby did for me and our family while I was out of commission---and he did it without complaining! I think he is the main reason (in addition to all the prayers on our behalf) that our little Lu made it here without any problems! I love him so much for that and MANY other reasons!!!
Posing for a pic in our hotel room
Me just chillin' with the elk outside our hotel
One of the highlights of the trip---COLD-freakin'-STONE!!! Oh, how I have missed you... We have not one of these in the Land of Dinos...
We went to this little fun park called "Bananas" and went mini-golfing. We bet the loser had to give the other a backrub...I wonder who won...
What form we have...
Again, notice the form...
Guess who won the backrub...nope, it wasn't me!!! (That is my pathetic excuse for a score card)
Finally the trip had to end, but it was just the perfect amount of time--we were ready to get home to our girls! Bye-Bye Grand Junction!

What a great time we had!!! Thanks Cobes--I really needed it! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
