Family Pics 2010

I have been wanting to get new family pics for a long time now since the last real ones we had done were back before I even knew I was pregnant with Lu. The time goes by so fast and in the words of my mother, I think it is important to "enjoy the moment" because it is fleeting and so precious especially when you have little ones who grow up WAY too fast! So Ash was great enough to put up with a very stubborn child (not to mention almost 2!) and get some pics for us! The editing was a combined effort on our part and I am so pleased with how they turned out! (I was a little afraid during the temper tantrums!) I LOVE my FAMILY!!!

Look what Daddy brought home!

Meet Marley, the newest member of the Coonradt family! Mae LOVES (and I mean LOVES) dogs, so with her birthday coming up and our fence nearing completion, we have been talking about getting her a dog. We've been looking on KSL, but hadn't found the right dog yet. Until Thursday... I was working upstairs when Coby came up holding Marley. Apparently, he had been driving around town and saw someone selling Boxer puppies outside a store, like people do, stopped and fell in love with this little girl--and who could blame him?
Mae was asleep when he got home, so when she woke up Coby took the puppy with him to go get her out of her bed...
A little dazed, but the excitement is there! (as is Mae's "nap 'do"...and the monkeys)

Kisses...

We asked Mae what she wanted to name the puppy and first she said "Nitro" (my brother Josh's old dog), and then she said "Marley"---after her FAVORITE book "Marley & Me" (she seriously LOVES that book soooooo much, sometimes it accidently gets "lost" just to give us a break)--which seemed to fit her!

We originally had been looking for a grown dog because puppies are well, puppies and while adorable, they can can be wild and hyper, not really what we wanted for Mae. But when Coby went to look at the puppies, this little girl was so calm and loving, that he went for it---and she really is THE BEST DOG I'VE EVER HAD--and that's pretty good coming from me because growing up we had a lot of dogs! She is very mellow and loveable, and we ALL love her, but no one quite as much as Mae-Mae!

I'm not normally one to dress dogs in clothes, but the sweater came with her-- and really, is that not just sooooo cute?

Happy early-Birthday Mae-Mae! We LOVE you and your little Marley!

Swings & Slides

Mae LOVE, LOVE, LOVES the park and I'm pretty sure Lu is following in her footsteps! I'm sooooo happy spring is here and we are able to take the girls out FINALLY! After 2 months of bedrest and then the house arrest the doc placed us on to avoid RSV and the Swine Flu, I cannot tell you how WONDERFUL it feels to be out in the fresh air!

This is just one of MANY trips we will be making to the park this year!

Tu-Tu's & Lollipops!

Saturday was such a beautiful day for a photo session and in lack of any booked ones (bummer!) me and Ash (Coby's sis) took Mae and Kenna (her daughter) to try out some ideas we had for some pictures! The girls had a GREAT time with the lollipops and Mae LOVED her tu-tu! I think they turned out WAY cute...and it doesn't hurt to have the CUTEST girls as models!

Happy Easter!

We all know I'm a little late in posting this, but oh well, at least its getting done... For Easter, Coby's parents had a little Easter party for the kids where they made Fruit Loop necklaces and had an inside Easter egg hunt (as the weather was no cooperating)! What a fun time we had!
Mae mostly loved eating the Fruit Loops, so thank yo Nana for getting that necklace made!

Showing off Nana's masterpiece

The hunt is on!

WOW!!!

We celebrated Easter at our house a few days early because we were going up to Ogden on the actual day and didn't want to haul any more stuff than we had to. The Easter Bunny didn't know what to bring the girls because what do you get someone who literally needs nothing, but he settled on a set of golf clubs, a ball, a bunny for each, bubbles and "The Princess and the Frog" (Mae's new favorite show)!

Cobes showing Mae how its done...

Lu really excited about the ball!

Mae admiring her new show!

We had a WONDERFUL Easter with our two girls! It is always easy to get caught up in the festivities and to forget what the real message behind Easter is. I am always amazed at the different perspective you gain as you become a parent. With these two sweeties, so full of life and growing every day, I realized just how important it is & just how grateful I am for the sacrifice our Savior made for us.
